Bloganuary Day 29

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

One of my earliest sporting memories is playing kickball in the 4th grade. I was up to bat, I wound up to kick, and my foot, ever so gracefully, skimmed the top of the ball landing me in a heap in front of the entire 4th grade. Another time, in elementary school school, I was convinced I could do a pencil drop from the 6 foot bar on the Big Toy. That ended with me flat on my back waking up to faces all around me and an ambulance ride to the hospital. One could say that I am not terribly athletic.

I was, however, on a bowling team in elementary school that achieved the rank of 10th in the nation! I did play in a basketball tournament with my ROTC mates once. That was weird. I played volleyball every Wednesday night with my youth group, including the day I had my wisdom teeth removed. That was pretty fun.

These days I stick to reading, walking, hiking, and Pokemon Go.

As far as watching sports, I am a bandwagon Superbowl fan. I like to cheer for the underdog and watch the commercials. I enjoy watching the different events in the Olympics. Gymnastics in the summer and ice skating in the winter. I also love a good live hockey game. In person is so much more fun than watching on TV!
